Halloween Day
Halloween Day, which is an annual holiday , is celebrated yearly on
October 31. It is the eve of the Western Christian feast of All
Hallows' Day or more commonly known as All Saints' Day which also known as All Halloween, All Hallows' Eve, or
All Saints' Day Eve. On this day, many kids dress up in fancy costumes, such as vampire, zombie, pirate or mummy to visit another house
in their neighborhood. They knock on the doors and ask for small gifts, such as sweets, snacks or chocolates. If
they don’t get those things, they threaten to do some harm to the inhabitants
of the house. This is known as playing 'trick-or- treat' ,which is supposed to happen in a friendly spirit
without nasty or mean tricks. On Halloween Day, many people
decorate their houses and gardens in Halloween style, which intend to ward off evil spirits. There are lots of
symbols associated with Halloween, such as
walking skeletons, wizards, bats, cats, pumpkins and ghosts. This
holiday is such a great day for everyone to spend time having fun with people
that they love, such as their friends,
family or lovers.
